What I’m doing now
A lightweight journal — what has my attention, in reverse order. Slow weeks, on purpose.
Thinking about: who gets to describe Indonesia’s seas. Kaplan’s Monsoon reads the Strait of Malacca as a corridor for other people’s ships. From our side of the water it is a front yard, and the gap between those two readings is where most of my writing now sits.
Doing:
- Writing a series on Indonesia’s seas. The latest essay reads Monsoon from the edge of the Strait of Malacca: Jantung Samudera yang Tereduksi Sebatas Selat.
- Launched Satu Sistem, a tested catalogue of automation workflows in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Based in Melbourne. Slow weeks, on purpose.
